Laura Lee Bahr writes surreal horror and bizarro fiction in which identity, narrative and reality repeatedly shift under the reader. Haunt follows a man through Los Angeles as ghosts, relationships and possible versions of events destabilise what appears to be happening, while Long-Form Religious Porn uses similarly slippery storytelling to mix desire, belief and psychological dislocation. Bahr's prose is more literary and dreamlike than straightforward splatterpunk, often making structure itself part of the uncertainty.
