Shipping & Delivery Options

Readerama sellers choose which delivery options they are happy to offer. These are currently Evri Home Collection, InPost Locker to Locker and Royal Mail Tracked 48. We recommend Royal Mail Tracked 48 for reliability and service levels.

 

The buyer selects from the delivery options offered by the seller when placing an order.

 

Sellers normally dispatch orders within 1–3 working days. The carrier delivery times shown below begin once the seller has dispatched the parcel, so buyers should allow an additional 1–3 working days. Delivery may take longer over weekends, bank holidays, in some remote locations or during periods of disruption.

 

The exact delivery charge depends on the number of books ordered and the parcel’s size and weight. The final cost is shown at checkout before the buyer completes the order. When multiple books are purchased from the same seller, Readerama calculates the combined postage at checkout. Generally, the more books purchased from one seller, the lower the postage cost per book.

The seller drops the parcel at an InPost Locker or Shop, and the buyer collects it from their chosen location. The service currently has around 16,000 lockers and covers mainland Great Britain only. 

 

The buyer pays for the postage and once the order is placed, the QR code is emailed to the seller. No printer is required and you do not need to write the address on the parcel. The seller takes the parcel to their nearest locker, scans (or enters) the code, the locker door opens, they place the parcel inside and close the door. Once the parcel has arrived, the buyer normally has three days to collect it.

 

 

InPost provides tracking updates by email for both buyer and the seller, so everyone can follow the journey. InPost aims to deliver to a Locker or Shop within 3-4 working days after dispatch.

 

 

• Small: 64 × 38 × 8cm (up to 15kg)

• Medium: 64 × 38 × 19cm (up to 15kg)

• Large: 64 × 38 × 41cm (maximum size) (up to 15kg)

 

 

The buyer pays for the postage and once the order is placed, the label is emailed to the seller. The seller packages the book and will need to take it to a post office to send. The seller can either print the label or show the QR code at the post office. Royal Mail delivers the parcel to the buyer’s address. 

 

Royal Mail Tracked 48 service aims to deliver within 2-3 working days after posting. Royal Mail Tracked 48 covers the UK, including Northern Ireland, the Scottish Highlands and islands, the Isle of Wight and the Isles of Scilly

 

 

If you choose multiple books from the same seller, we will calculate the postage at checkout. In general, the more books you buy from the same seller, the more money you save per book on postage. Your book is tracked up until the delivery point. 

 

 

The parcel is collected from the seller’s address and delivered to the buyer’s chosen address. Parcels booked through Readerama cannot be taken to an Evri ParcelShop or Locker. This option may be particularly useful when sending several books or when the seller cannot easily reach a drop-off location.

 

The buyer pays for the postage and once the order is placed, the label is emailed to the seller. The seller will need access to a printer to print and attach the label before collection. Collections usually take place the next working day (Monday to Saturday, 8am to 6pm), so it’s important to package and label the order quickly. Orders placed later in the day, may be collected the following day instead.

 

Evri delivers throughout the UK, including Northern Ireland, the Scottish Highlands and islands, the Isle of Wight, the Isles of Scilly and the Isle of Man. However, there may be an additional location charge to certain remote postcode areas, this will be shown at checkout.
