Petr Horáček writes and illustrates picture books for young children, using bold colour, collage-like textures and simple visual concepts around animals, friendship and discovery. The Greedy Goat follows a goat eating its way through increasingly unsuitable objects, while A New House for Mouse turns a search for the right home into a story about size, food and problem-solving. Puffin Peter uses colour and shape as a puffin searches for a missing friend, and Blue Penguin develops a gentler story about difference and belonging. Horáček's texts are short and designed for reading aloud, with page turns, cut-outs and expressive artwork carrying much of the narrative. His work fits preschool picture books, animal stories and visually led early learning. Read more Less
