Cassandra Clare's Infernal Devices trilogy is a prequel to The Mortal Instruments, set among the Shadowhunters of Victorian London. It follows Tessa Gray after she arrives in England searching for her brother and becomes involved with the London Institute, particularly Will Herondale and Jem Carstairs, while discovering the nature of her own unusual abilities. Clockwork Angel, Clockwork Prince and Clockwork Princess tell one continuous story and should be read in order.
