Mark Lawrence's Red Queen's War trilogy follows Prince Jalan Kendeth, a charming coward who would rather avoid danger, and Snorri ver Snagason, a formidable Norse warrior whose priorities are very different from Jalan's. Prince of Fools, The Liar's Key and The Wheel of Osheim form one continuous story set in the same Broken Empire world as Lawrence's earlier trilogy. They should be read in order, while knowledge of Jorg's story adds context without being essential at the start.
