Robin Hobb's Tawny Man trilogy returns to FitzChivalry Farseer years after the Farseer Trilogy, when he has withdrawn from court life but is drawn back into the affairs of the royal family and the Fool. Fool's Errand, The Golden Fool and Fool's Fate form one continuous story and should be read in order. They also depend heavily on Fitz's earlier history, so starting with the Farseer Trilogy gives much more context; Liveship Traders adds further connections to the wider world.
