Brian Lumley's Vampire World trilogy continues the Necroscope saga after the first five Harry Keogh novels and shifts much of the action to the Wamphyri's own world. Blood Brothers, The Last Aerie and Bloodwars follow Harry's sons and other returning figures as rival vampire lords fight for power and the consequences of earlier books continue. The trilogy should be read in order and makes little sense as a starting point without the original Necroscope sequence. The emphasis moves further towards dark fantasy and large-scale conflict while retaining the grotesque biology, psychic powers and horror that define Lumley's vampires. Read more Less
